How long do Andersen windows take to arrive?
Made-to-order units typically run four to eight weeks depending on series, size and season. A specific date is given when the order is placed.
Which Andersen series should I choose?
400 Series is the default for most replacement work here. 100 Series is the value option in Fibrex with slimmer sightlines. A-Series and E-Series are for projects that need specific colours, shapes or wood species.
Do you measure my openings for me?
We specify the unit with you from your measurements and photographs at the counter. For a whole-house job, a site measure by your installer before ordering is strongly advised.
Full-frame replacement or insert?
Inserts are quicker and cheaper and keep the existing frame, provided that frame is sound and square. Full-frame replacement is the right answer where there is rot, water damage or you want to change the opening size.
Do you install windows?
We do not install, but we supply the installers working in this area every week and can point you at them.
Is Low-E glass worth it?
In this climate, yes. It cuts summer heat gain and winter loss with no visible difference to speak of. It is standard on most units we quote.
Can I get grilles to match my existing windows?
Usually. Bring a photograph of the existing grille pattern and we will match the layout as closely as the series allows.
What about patio doors?
Andersen gliding and hinged patio doors are specified in the same series and finishes, so the whole elevation matches.
