Which Fiberon line for which deck?
Six questions we ask at the counter, and the line each answer usually points to.
Water, sun and bare feet
Capped PVC has no wood flour, so nothing in the board absorbs water. It also runs cooler and does not stain from wet leaves or pool chemicals.
A first composite deck on a budget
Capped composite in a simple, warm colour. Reversible boards mean two looks per board and less waste on cuts.
The most convincing hardwood read
Multi-tonal streaking and a four-sided cap. From the kitchen window it passes for tropical hardwood.
Grey, driftwood and sand tones
Astir carries the coastal palette: Prairie Wheat, Seaside Mist and Mountain Ash.
The underside shows from the yard
A four-sided cap keeps the underside the same colour as the top, so it looks finished from below.
Wants Espresso or Graphite
Dark boards get hot. In full sun we steer toward PVC or a lighter shade of the same line, and always send a sample home first.
